Style Crush - Alice Glass

With the 90's grunge style flowing back, how could you not mention Alice Glass. Incase you haven't heard of her, she's the lead singer in Crystal Castles - an electronic band. From an early age she
Alice is one of those people who can walk into a trift shop and pick up an entire outfit for less than 20; and still be rocking it. The thing about fashion and style is proving you don't need money to make a statement. She's got this in a nutshell. What I love about her style is that she doesn't give into huge cleb brands and instead would wear her grand mothers hand-me-downs with a pair of ripped tights and cons. The whole point of grunge is not really caring about how you look.

With 90's grunge coming back into fashion, I have to say I'm delighted. Can finally whip out that choker and anything else you didn't have the heart to throw away. Cons and docs are staple shoes and are well worth the investment. Alice mixes greys and blacks with occasional block bright colours, piecing random items of clothing together

Tattoo Envy

Have you ever wanted to have loads of awesome tattoos, but don't because of so many reasons like; the main of of being too indecisive, lack of having that amount of money at once or parent/work prevention.
Well for the ladies there's a loophole I've found! A couple of years ago, I was in Tophop and stumbled across these tattoo tights. They are exactly what they sound like, skin colour tights with tattoo designs on them & looked unbelievable! Such a class idea. But unfortunately with my track record of keeping tights rip free, spending 14 euro a a time for a night out just isn't ideal. You've probably seen these kinda tights around, mostly online like Tumblr/Pintrest but they are so much more affordable than you thought!

Luckily, eBay pulls through and I've discovered tattoo tights! I wouldn't recommend anyone spending more than 3 or 4 euro on these (including shipping) only because they is always another seller, selling the exact same pair for a cheaper price. This is the first thing I learnt on my online shopping travels.

These are a pair I've gotten recently:

1.40 euro, really can't argue with the price(:

I've ordered off this particular eBay seller myself and everything has been fine with me, but if you're new to eBay buying beware of sellers feedback. The tights themselves are usually very pale, I've always considered myself a bit on the ghosty pale side but these are extremely pale. But if you're worried about that, just slap on a bit of tan and you're grand! The sizing is a little small and can affect the print on the tights. I'm about 5"9 and I've noticed that this as a reoccurring thing. The quality in my opinion is the exact same as any 10/15 denier tights - easily rippable. But at the same time nothing new there! The great thing about these little gems is a lot of people actually believe they're real. So tattoos, without the commitment!
I would defiantly recommend these for anyone who likes them; regardless of the cons - their uniqueness keeps me coming back from more!

Also if you're curious to see more deigns, if you're any good at art this looks quite doable.
Basically you get fabric markers and drawn your own deigns on skin colour tights! Ingenious!

I’m Meeeeelting

I’m definitely digging this melting vibe recently!  And if you’re into the whole Nickelodeon slime effect without actually being directed under a bucket of goo, you’re in for a treat :) not only that but these tights are a perfect way to make your legs look amazingly hot and unique. Although they’re not exactly on the upcoming 2013 trend list, yet, and I have a feeling it’s well on it’s way; taking cyber-punk to new extremes, German branded company called URB (http://urb-clothing.com) has created these awesome design of “melting print” tights, creating the illusion of different coloured slime running down the thigh! And for the price of $50 dollars they are indeed!

Recently in Paramore's new music video Hayley Williams pulls them off with her pastel UNIF jacket without question!

They’re specialized prodigy’s, where each one is carefully hand-made giving them an eye catching design, with a layer of latex and a thin layer of baby powder creating the perfecting melting effect. A few of my more melt effects at more affordable prices:

There's also loads of bits and bobs of different jewellery around the shops and online. Perfect for summer and festival wear! What do you think?

Kat Von D’s Best Instagram Photos of 2012

Recently I have started to begin shamefully obsessing over the whole instagram  craze. Especially Kat Von D’s instagram! If you haven’t heard much about this ‘Instagram thing’ lemme fill you in. It’s pretty much a photo sharing site for andriod mobile phones! With it you can add tags, similar to Twitter and the likes. Then you can edit your photo’s colour slightly or to the extream giving it a vintage clean look or a grime dark look.
I personally think that Kat Von D is so awesome and beautiful. Not only that but she always posts the best photos, whether she’s hanging out with Deadmau5, taking photos of herself or her cat, or unreal shoes and great fashion sense. And let’s not forget her tattoos! Since it’s coming up to the end of the year I’ve decided to share with you a few of my favoute of Kat’s pics from her personal Instagram. If you haven’t followed her yet, I’m sure you’ll be adding her to your list after seeing some of these pics :)
